What is an SBL?
“PSL” is the general NFL term. The 49ers and the stadium say SBL.
An SBL gives you the right to buy 49ers season tickets for that seat each season. You cannot get them without one, per the official SBL Marketplace.
A reserved-seat SBL includes:
- The same seat for every preseason and regular-season home game.
- The right to buy home playoff tickets for that seat.
- Priority for other stadium events.
- Free member food at home games.
Club SBLs add lounge access and a private entrance. For premium parking, see season parking.
Owning an SBL
Pay the invoice every year
SBL holders get an invoice before each season. The team sets the ticket price each year.
If you don’t buy the tickets as invoiced, you lose your rights to 49ers season tickets under that SBL.
What you take on
When you buy an SBL from an owner, you take on its payments and rules from the transfer date forward. The published SBL terms set this out.
The terms also say:
- The seller stays responsible for the SBL until the Stadium Authority releases them in writing.
- A transfer does not count while the seller is behind on payments.
- An SBL does not include admission or a ticket discount. It gives you no ownership share in the stadium.
One transfer a year
The team must approve every transfer. The SBL terms let it refuse a second transfer of the same SBL in one calendar year. Family transfers and a few other cases are exceptions.
Installment plan
The 49ers Membership Plan lets members pay for season tickets in up to 12 payments at 0% APR. A payment more than 30 days late lets the team cancel the season tickets. That can affect your SBL rights.
Buy from an SBL owner
We connect you with an SBL owner. The sale closes on the official Levi’s Stadium SBL Marketplace as a Private Sale Transfer. It has lower fees than buying a listing.

How a transfer works
- The owner starts the transfer. The marketplace says a transfer “must be initiated by the Current Owner.”
- You pay the marketplace. It holds your money in escrow until the transfer is approved.
- You both fill out the Transfer Form. It asks for identity verification and taxpayer information.
- The 49ers Ticket Office approves the transfer.
- The marketplace pays the owner.
A transfer “normally takes about 1-2 weeks,” per the marketplace. If a transfer cannot be completed, the marketplace sends a full refund.
This season’s tickets
The SBL price does not include any tickets.
If the sale happens during the season, you and the owner agree on any remaining tickets through the marketplace. After approval, the Ticket Office delivers those tickets electronically. Or it gives you the owner’s contact information to finish the ticket transfer.
Accounts you need
You need a free account on the official SBL Marketplace, a 49ers Account Manager account and a Ticketmaster.com account. See the two logins.
Some SBLs were bought with team financing. Some marketplace listings carry a remaining balance for the buyer to assume. Ask the marketplace before you agree to a financed SBL.
New SBLs from the team
The team is selling some new SBLs by appointment, per 49ers.com. Its sales email is sblsales@49ers.com.
