Mobile tickets
49ers.com covers the basics:
- Sign in to your 49ers account in the 49ers app or on Ticketmaster.
- Add your tickets and parking passes to your phone’s wallet.
- Tickets use Ticketmaster SafeTix, with a barcode that keeps changing.
Two logins
The 49ers app needs two separate accounts, an NFL ID and a Ticketmaster login, per the Visa Box Office page.
Your 49ers account must use the same email address as your Ticketmaster.com account.
How a transfer works
No paper or PDF changes hands.
Sending a transfer
- The seller opens “Manage My Events” in the 49ers app.
- They pick the tickets and tap “Transfer To”.
- They send them to you by text or email.
On a computer, the seller can also use Account Manager at 49ers.com/myaccount. There, the seller picks “Select Event.” That option sends several games at once. It is also the way to send parking passes.
Some tickets are not eligible for transfer. If so, the app does not show the transfer option.
Accept the transfer
- Open the email. It has an “Accept Tickets” button and an “Accept by” deadline.
- Create a 49ers account if you don’t have one. Use the same email address the tickets went to.
- Accept the tickets before the deadline.
- Check that the tickets now show in your 49ers app.
The seller can cancel a transfer until you accept it. After you accept, only you can send the tickets back.
Before you pay a seller
- Ask for a transfer in the 49ers app or Ticketmaster. A photo or PDF will not get you in.
- Give the email on your 49ers account. See two logins.
- Accept, then check that the tickets show in your own 49ers app.
- Check the section, row, seats and game date in the transfer before you accept.
- Count your group. Kids age 2 and up need their own ticket.
- Know who backs the sale. The NFL Ticket Exchange is “the only site 100% guaranteed by the 49ers,” per the Tickets FAQs.
The 49ers name Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats and SeatGeek as approved marketplaces. Refunds follow the policy of the marketplace you bought from, per 49ers ticket policies.
